A record number of tourists visited Bulgaria in 2017. In each of the months of the year foreigners arrived in the country for recreation and excursion were more than a year earlier.
The monthly data of the National Statistical Institute show that their total number is 5.5 million people. Together with people on mission or other purposes (visiting, training, sports or cultural events), their number is 11.6 million.
